This two storey rear extension had the task of making the house larger as well as creating a contemporary living/dining and kitchen space. A key concern was how to design this space to suit the way in which the family would live and entertain. It was decided to create an open plan form with lots of light and a single ‘TV’ wall separating the open-plan kitchen from the living/dining area.
