The refurbishment of this old barn had unique challenges in terms of retaining the detailing and character of the original building whilst making the necessary interventions to make the office function as a modern fully equipped space. The exterior stonework was restored and re-pointed in lime Mortar whose specification was carefully matched to the original lime sand gravel mix. The ‘field stone’ of the barn and second hand brick were carefully chosen to match those of the existing structure.
