Criteria: The Fermanagh House extension project required the doubling in size of the existing community building. It was important to ensure that the live working environment of the charitable services of the Fermanagh Trust was disrupted as little as possible during the build. The main design challenge was to ensure that when the extension was complete, it matched the design language of the existing building. Today, with the works complete, it is difficult to see where the old and new come together, giving a pleasing aesthetic to the finished project.
